Our Story

We are in the business of feeding people, and we are disrupting the traditional food system with networked farming that is integrated into the built environment.

We started greenspace as technologists who were simply looking for a healthier traceable way to eat fresher food.

Our mission is to unlock changes in consumer food demand around providing consistent freshness, flavour, price - with no supply chain.  In 2017 we saw an opportunity to create a business where quality was never sacrificed for convenience and new sustainable distribution models were needed to disrupt an industry.

The existing mass market food supply chain does not support a controled environment farming model, which is why Greenspace built its own supply chain.

Greenspace is disrupting the traditional food system with networked farming that is integrated into the built environment. We transform under-utilised spaces within cities into sustainable vertical farms that we like to call Macrofarms. These large indoor farms sustainably grow nutritious produce 365 days a year. The ready to harvest produce is distributed through the local community using a network of smaller client-facing hydroponic units called Microfarms.

Greenspace’s key differentiators remove lengthy wholesale supply chains, limit high equipment establishment costs, and prevents volatile crop production which guarantees revenue streams.
