Greenspace · August 2026
Since launching a Microfarm at State Street Sydney earlier this year, Greenspace has worked closely with the State Street team, a CBRE Alliance client, to bring hyper-local, living produce into their George Street office. This month, we took that partnership one step further with a hands-on pesto-making workshop.
Using basil harvested fresh from their own Microfarm that morning, the State Street team got stuck in making pesto from scratch, grinding, tasting and jarring their own batch to take home, as well as enjoying it together at work. It's the kind of activation that turns a Microfarm from a nice piece of office greenery into something people actually engage with day to day.
Workshops like this are part of a broader program of activations Greenspace runs with our partners, alongside options like salad-making classes and produce tastings. They're a chance to show, rather than tell, what "hyper-local" really means, produce that's grown one floor away (or one Macrofarm away), harvested that day, and turned into something delicious within hours.
For State Street, it's also been a great way to bring the team together around something a little different from the usual office activity, and to send everyone home with a jar of pesto they made themselves.
We're looking forward to running more of these activations with the State Street team, and with other partners keen to get hands-on with their Microfarm produce.
